If studying in England is a new experience for you, you can expect a friendly welcome from the School of Politics and International Relations. We have a history of welcoming students from around the world creating a cosmopolitan community where students can make a valuable contribution to the School's academic environment. Our students come from China, India, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United States of America and many other locations worldwide.

We know that studying abroad presents both challenges and opportunities. We support the academic development of our international students through workshops on key skills such as research essay and dissertation writing. And we enjoy close links with the Queen Mary Language Centre. Situated in lively London, our international students have the benefit of attending special seminars and events that bring the policy making world into direct contact with the academic world.

As a student in our School you will enjoy the prestige of attending a Russell Group institution in a supportive and cosmopolitan environment. Please do browse our pages and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
